The Rickety Beaux Arts Dog & Pony Show is an annual event that spotlights Rickety Records musicians as well as area artists and performers. It was born from the ashes of the Rickety Beaux Arts Ball held yearly 97-99 at the Turmoil Room Arts Collective in Wilkinsburg. Professional, semi-professional, and not-so-professional artists are invited to submit works of art for display in this two-week exhibition at Garfield Artworks.

At the opening and closing parties, Rickety Records musicians and other local performers take the stage. This year, LUPEC was invited to act as the official hostesses of the event, which took place in early November 2001. LUPEC provided the Pink Passion Punch and other snacks and treats for the hundreds of guests, artists and performers in attendance. It was an opportunity for LUPEC to get out the word about our organization and the first step towards becoming active participants in the vibrant and dynamic Pittsburgh art and music scene.

LUPEC can be seen at other upcoming events including:

  • December 1, 2001 - Blue Ruin Gallery's Silent Auction Holiday Fundraiser (try our aphrodesiac punch)
  • December 15, 2001 - LUPEC Party at the Lava Lounge, 4 to 8 pm.
  • December 23, 2001 - Bring Us Some Figgy Pudding! The Mofones Holiday Party, 4-8 pm at the Brew House
  • Our events calendar lists past and future meetings and field trips.
