Recipe: 1/2 tsp. Pernod. 1 tbsp cognac, 2 tsp. Sugar, 2 tsp. Curacao, Chilled pink sparkling wine.

Directions: Pour Pernod into a large wineglass. Turn glass so that Pernod coats the sides. Add cognac. In a small bowl, combine sugar and curacao allowing sugar to dissolve. Add to wineglass. Stir. Add 3 or 4 ice cubes. Fill with chilled pink sparkling wine.

BRANDY: It's gorgeous blue! The glass is to die for. And it has PINK CHAMPAGNE: 5! 5! 5!

DARK: Perfect in presentation and taste. Redeems the blue cocktail entirely: 5

SAPPHI: As for presentation--this drink gets a 10! But that mostly has to do with Ms. Monday's talents. Even with my strong aversion to Pernod, I give this drink a 4.

WHISKEY: Oooooh tasty. The licorice smell tricked me--I had no idea it would taste so yummy. Add Champagne to anything and it will be good: 4.5

B. MONDAY: This drink took 20 minutes to make [8 glasses worth]--and it was worth it! Very sneaky, refreshing and green: 3.5

BIJOU: Well, my first instinct was oooh, sambuca/anisette, I'm interested! With the addition of cognac and champagne, I am in heaven. The dark aquamarine hue is mysterious. Very Good N' Plenty: 4.5

FIREFLY: excellent presentation, wonderful color, pleasant licorice scent but not overpowering. Interesting mix, difficult to taste the parts, just the lovely whole: 4.5

MADRAS: Rock'n--not too sweet and a very nice mix of flavors. Plus the color is great!: 4.5
